been gone...

Many friends in town as of recent and many adventures...got a camera now, it's held together by duct tape and sometimes it looks like people are having out of body experiences. EPIC.

High Five is tite...

Ms. Mason doin' the damn thang!!

SF babes...

Shots and Rage

Josie and Tracy jammin'!!

Weekend festival checking ID's and drinking whiskey...got to see Social D!!

Tony and Kiki came into town for about a week, so we did all the site seeing type o' stuff that I still am enjoying the hell out of...

SOUL SUCKER!!!

Bernal Hill day picnic, this is the raddest view I have found of the city so far.

Total Trash Fest at Thee Parkside hosted a ton of disgustingly rad bands all weekend...it almost killed me, literally. Starting it off is Shannon and the Clams!!

A terrible shot of Hunx and His Punx, they however were not terrible...just extremely gay and awesome!!

I've ended up spending a lot of time in Delores Park and I am just fine with that.

The Barreracudas, rad band from ATL.

Gentleman Jesse and His Men, also from Atlanta, put on a hell of a good show too!!

The Mean Jeans, from Portland, are soooo fucking good!! This show had so much energy, this was the show that I was waiting all weekend for.

Nobunny was amazing as always. Stoked that they are from Oakland, cause that probably means that I am going to get to see them a lot!!

Santa Cruz mountains with Cherri and Lady to check out the moon rocks and remains of the trees from the fire there a few years ago.

Burn victim

Mountains, forest and ocean all wrapped into one place...YES!!

Sometimes you just gotta let those tits bleed...fuck it.

This is the craziest bark I have ever seen on a tree. It looked like paint, but just naturally peeled like this!

The Lost Boys bridge in Santa Cruz. The last time I was here there was only sand underneath it, weird to see it all filled with ocean waters.

Open up and wail!!!

Chuck Ragan, of Hot Water Music, hailing from Gainesville, Florida is playing tonight at Cafe Du Nord!! SUPER STOKED!!

I've been listening to the jams that he's been putting together since I was in 8th grade, I still get chills every time I hear it... Every single skateboard I have ridden in the past 10 years or so has had the song title "Turnstile" scratched into the grip tape one way or another without fail.

Years ago Rise did somewhat of a mini ramp demo at one of the Warped tours that Hot Water Music was playing in Noblesville, Indiana. While we were skating the mini ramp Chuck Ragan climbed aboard and we started talking a bit in between runs, as the conversation slowed I saw him look down at my board that had "Turnstile" scribed down the side of the grip. He looked back at me, smiled and dropped in... He never said anything of it, but he and I both knew it, and we just kept on skating. One of my biggest inspirations in life is to try and be a good person and I owe a lot of that thought process to the lyrical content of Hot Water Music songs, so needless to say I am siked, to say the least, to get a chance to see another one of his shows.

"Turnstile"

Raise your voice in swells, find your meanings then
Use your signs inside to relive and never care.

No point in holding back on what you're holding
No matter it be shit or it be golden
Foundations shift, they're still shifting
We set up, we set up our falls

Hold on tight to your fears
Cause that's your hatred
And that's your love as well

Learn to use all your fears
As a fuel, an engine
To get you where you need

I must always remember...
There's no point to surrender

No point in holding back on what you're holding
No matter it be shit or it be golden
Foundations shift, they're still shifting
We set up, we set up our falls

Hold on tight to your fears
Cause that's your hatred
And that's your love as well

Learn to use your fears
As a fuel, an engine
To get you where you need

I must always remember...
There's no point to surrender

I shift.

I shift.
